Guidance is grounded in primary material: the Internal Revenue Code and IRS guidance, Maryland Cannabis Administration regulations and bulletins, Comptroller of Maryland tax publications, and Maryland statute. Secondary commentary is used for context only.
Review process
Content covering tax positions or regulatory obligations is reviewed by a licensed CPA before publication. Material that depends on unsettled federal policy, including the transition to Schedule III, is labeled as such.
